The rich natural environment and nature religion brought by Lake Biwa breathes. I seek new possibilities for Japanese painting and continues to search for new methods of expression. This Washi, the Japanese paper, is from the tree he grew, and hand-made. Pictures and patterns stand out by the difference in the thickness of the paper. I named this “Ewashi” that represents its art expression.
琵琶湖がもたらす豊かな自然環境や自然信仰が息づく。日本画の、新たな可能性を求め、新しい表現手法を模索しつづける。自ら木を育て、紙漉きを行い、紙の厚みの差で絵や模様を浮かび上がらせたこの和紙は、絵画的表現ができることから「絵和紙」と名づける。
