A ceramic artist in Kyoto. The vases, tableware, pottery calligraphy and other items I create are called “Akaoribe (Red Oribe pottery)”. The artwork glazed with Oribe (copper glaze)and charcoal  are placed in a box (in a soil), completely sealed, oxygen-deficient, and carbonized to produce a red color. When the red Oribe is oxidized and fired, it turns into a green Oribe. If the green Oribe is carbonized and fired again, a mixture of red and green Oribe can be created.

京都の陶芸作家。花器、食のうつわ、陶の書文具などを赤織部作品として主に制作発表をしている。織部(銅釉)を施釉した作品と木炭を匣(土の箱)の中に入れ完全密封し酸素不足させ炭化焼成することで赤色に発色させる。赤織部を酸化、焼成すると緑織部になり、その緑織部を再び炭化焼成させると赤と緑の燿赤織部作品に変化させることも出来る。
