Increasingly, our world is polarizing, black or white, defined by an urgent and extreme need for clarity, certainty, immediate action and results. We are tarred by the same brush but we are all different.  For me, photography is a way to slow down – capture details that we never notice or forget to stop and see, to illustrate that life and the world around us is rarely ever in clear focus but can still be beautiful, captivating and fulfilling.

我々の世界は、明確さや確実性、即時の行動や結果に対し、緊急、且つ極端な必要性により定義づけされ、黒、白に色分けされる。あたかも同じ筆で塗られているようだが、皆それぞれに異なる。私にとり、写真は時をゆっくりと過ごさせてくれるものー 普段決して気づかず、また立ち止まって見ないような細部をとらえさせてくれる。我々の生活や世界が鮮明に映し出されることはまれだが、それでも美しく、魅惑的で充実している。
